I often have clients whose estate planning documents (i.e. Wills, Powers of Attorney or Healthcare Powers of Attorney) are purchased as a gift by an adult child or other family member.

No one should have to argue about a loved one's last wishes during times of grief or sadness. Estate planning removes that burden from family and friends and grants the planner some agency in their end-of-life decision making.
It is important to know that even if you may have paid for the legal services, your loved one's attorney is bound by ethical rules to represent their client exclusively. This means the attorney will follow the wishes of your loved one - despite who paid the bill.
