COURTNEY ROLLER
Attorney and Counselor at Law
Courtney Roller is a licensed North Carolina attorney and counselor at law. She earned her law degree from Elon University School of Law where she served as president of the Women's Law Association. Prior to law school, Courtney attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned a B.A. in journalism and mass communication.
Courtney regularly teaches courses in Family Law and Law Office Management as an adjunct professor. She currently serves on the board of directors for Davidson Medical Ministries.
She is a former member of the North Carolina Bar Association's Citizen Lawyer Committee and served as secretary of the 22B Judicial District Bar Association. Previously, she was chair of the board of directors for Family Services of Davidson County and an Advisory Board member for a local private school. Courtney frequently works with Legal Aid of North Carolina, Inc. to provide representation to underserved communities.

In 2024, 2021 and 2019, Courtney was featured in Business North Carolina magazine as a "Legal Elite" - a listing of the best North Carolina lawyers as voted on by their peers - in categories for Family Law and Young Gun (lawyers under 40).
In 2018, Courtney was admitted to the North Carolina Bar Association's Leadership Academy as one of only sixteen lawyers selected in the state that year. In 2013, she was recognized by the National Association of Women Lawyers for her achievement, motivation and drive.

Courtney practices Family Law and Estate Administration in Davidson County. She serves as a Parenting Coordinator and Guardian Ad Litem assisting families in high-conflict custody cases in the Triad area. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with family, hosting events and volunteering with her favorite service organizations.

BARBARA THOMAS SPENCER
Attorney and Counselor at Law
Barbara Thomas Spencer joined Roller Law, PLLC in 2023 after practicing family law in Guilford County. She is a licensed North Carolina attorney and counselor at law who graduated from Elon University School of Law. Barbara earned a B.A. in English from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in 2019.
Barbara practices in the areas of Family Law, Parent Defense, Traffic, Guardianships and Criminal Defense in both Davidson and Randolph Counties.
In 2021 Barbara was awarded a certificate from the North Carolina Bar Association recognizing her for completing more than 75 hours of pro bono legal services while attending law school.
Originally from the mid-west, Barbara now calls Greensboro home. She is a martial arts practitioner of Traditional Muay Thai and Tai Chi and is currently working on her black belt in Kung Fu.

Paralegal, Amanda Jordan, is a Thomasville native who joined Roller Law in 2015. She earned her degree in Paralegal Technology in 2011. Amanda is an experienced paralegal in the areas of family law, criminal defense, traffic law and estate administration - though family law and estate administration remain her favorite practice areas.
Amanda volunteers for a non-profit organization that provide services to children diagnosed with autism and is a talented crafter. Her original creations can often be found decorating our office lobby.
On weekends, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, three children and two Australian Shepherds "Remi" and "Link."

Legal Assistant, Elizabeth "Liz" Davidson, joined the Roller Law team in 2024. Liz is a Texas native who has recently relocated to North Carolina having previously worked in criminal defense.

Liz is an honors graduate of the University of North Texas where she earned her degrees in political science and criminal justice.
​
Often the voice heard on the phone when calling Roller Law, Liz enjoys engaging with clients and keeping the office plants alive.
When not searching for "real" Texas barbecue in the land of "Lexington Style," Liz can be found spending time outdoors and hiking with her husband and two sons.
